Acknowledgement of Terms
In this document, paseero.ng highlights the various terms and conditions, which constitute a legal contract with the users of the platform. All activities carried out on the platform are subject to the terms and conditions, regardless of the means used for accessing any service rendered by the platform. You are advised to only proceed with registration after thoroughly reading this document, and fully agreeing with all the terms and conditions of usage of the platform. Ultimately, your registration translates to the acceptance of all the terms and conditions stated herein, which also includes the right of paseero.ng to modify the terms and conditions at any time with or without earlier notification. Users are admonished to regularly visit this page for the latest changes in our terms and conditions.
Important Disclaimer
This part discusses the scope of responsibilities covered by Paseero in relation to all the services provided and activities that can be carried out on the platform. Namely, Paseero does not accept liability in any manner for any service, activity or transaction carried out privately with a seller on the platform. Paseero does not guarantee the existence, condition or accuracy of ads’ descriptions placed on the platform. We emphasize that it is the responsibility of the platform’s users to investigate and validate the authenticity of all ads’ attributes such as existence, condition, performance, and delivery method. Paseero accepts no responsibility for any ad listed on the platform. Please, note that except where electronic money transactions are directly made to or through Paseero, there is no guarantee that monetary transactions made to site users are non-fraudulent or the item paid for will be delivered as agreed with the ad owner. Similarly, sellers have the sole responsibility of verifying that all transactions are non-fraudulent before delivering items to the buyers. All site users are advised to take their physical and online safety into serious consideration when engaging in any dealing. We recommend that you are cautious when sharing personal information such as residence/work address, bank account, email address, social media handles, etc. Furthermore, ensure to only meet other site users in safe places and at times, which will not expose you to danger.
Account Registration and User Conduct Regulations
To carry out some activities on the platform, users are required to first complete the registration process, which entails entering personal information. Users can either register as individuals or corporations (business group entities).
(i) It is the primary duty of users to protect their accounts from fraudulent access and use. Paseero.ng requires that all registered users are of legal age according to the laws that apply based on their respective localities. Minors are obliged to obtain consents from their parents or legal guardians before completing the registration process.
(ii) The legal penalties that may arise from posted ads, improper advertisements, propositions, violence, malicious comments, or any act that violate the laws of the concerned locality are the sole responsibilities of the concerned user; paseero.ng will not be liable in any way. Copying contents from other sources without first obtaining their approval is improper. Where prior permission has not been granted to a site user to collect or use the personal data of concerned site users, it will amount to a violation of privacy to do so.
(iii) It is unacceptable to upload, attempt to upload or transmit malicious files, programs, viruses, malware, or any program that may compromise the security of the platform or other platform users; paseero.ng will be in its rights to initiate a legal action against such a user. Paseero.ng has the right to cancel users’ registrations without prior notifications where there is evidence of non-compliance with the terms and conditions for registration.
(iv) The following categories of products and services are expressly prohibited on Paseero: Illegal narcotics and controlled substances — including banned drugs, steroids, and any substance whose sale is prohibited under Nigerian law; Firearms, ammunition, and weapons — including unlicensed weapons or any item designed to cause bodily harm; Stolen goods — any item that is misappropriated, counterfeit, or fraudulently obtained; Fake or counterfeit products — including imitation currency, forged documents, and replica branded goods; Human trafficking and exploitation-related content — any goods or services linked to the exploitation of persons; Pornographic or sexually explicit materials; Government or identity documents — including passports, national ID cards, driver's licences, or any official government-issued document; Products prohibited by Nigerian Customs — any item falling within the prohibition list of the Nigerian Customs Service or the Nigerian Customs Administration; Hate speech materials — items, publications, or content that promote violence, racial intolerance, or discrimination; Unlicensed pharmaceuticals — prescription drugs or medical products sold without appropriate regulatory authorisation from NAFDAC or relevant Nigerian health authorities; Military and paramilitary uniforms and insignia — including those of the Nigerian Police Force, Customs, Immigration, and Prisons Services.
(v) All registered sellers agree to promptly process online orders received via Paseero. When in doubt of the legitimacy of received orders, please contact our support team via email, Whatsapp, or phone call.
(vi) It is crucial to note that tax payments for transactions made using the platform are the sole responsibility of the site users, and not Paseero. Should you encounter any suspicious activity on the platform, please reach out to the site’s admin with your complaints or observations at contact@paseero.ng or +2348144966384.
Online and In-Person Payments
The platform offers users various gateways for making online/electronic transactions for purchases. Alternatively, the in-person payment method may be adopted by users wherever possible. For scam prevention, Paseero will hold your online payment until you confirm the receipt of the item you paid for. In case you want Paseero to immediately release your payment to the seller, confirm item receipt under ‘Manage Orders’ section of your account. Should the seller confirm delivery before you acknowledge item receipt, Paseero will send you email reminders for three consecutive days. If you acknowledge the item receipt, your payment is instantly released to the seller. If you fail to acknowledge or dispute item receipt at the end of the three days for which you were reminded, Paseero will automatically consider that you have received the purchased item, and subsequently release your payment to the seller. Particularly, note that from here onwards, Paseero is completely released from any financial claim or damage since you did not dispute the item receipt claim within the three days stipulated. If you dispute the payment, Paseero will investigate your claim. Paseero will reimburse you only under the following circumstances.
(i) You did not receive the purchased item.
(ii) The conditions of the purchased item you received is clearly different than advised by the seller, and you have proof that the item has been returned to the seller in the same condition that it was delivered to you.
Note that approved refunds of online orders exclude the bank transaction charges that are associated with the purchase.
If you choose to pay for item by privately arranging with the seller, Paseero is not liable for monetary fraud, abuse, loss, or reimbursement. The user is totally responsible for all losses in the event of a fraud or item non-conformity. Your registration on the platform and usage is taken as your unwavering acceptance of this and all other conditions mentioned. Paseero will not be legally liable for any compensation or subject to legal proceedings in this situation.
Advice For Posting of Ads
We recommend that important information that are useful for business dealings are provided by the site users. Such information must be true. The descriptions of placed ads are also expected to be as accurate as possible. Finally, where applicable, the terms under which the seller may reimburse the buyer should be clearly indicated in the ad details.
Costs
The platform is an e-commerce platform for classified ads, auctions, and bidding. For gaining access to certain services provided by the platform, users may be required to take subscription plans or one-off payments. Paid ads are often displayed in the different parts of various pages on the platform. Paseero.ng reserves the sole right to modify at any time the charges for services or subscription plans provided. Should charges be modified, the affected users will be notified accordingly. Finally, note that payments made to paseero.ng may not be subject to reimbursement; reimbursement of paid charges are at the total discretion of paseero.ng.
Indemnity
Users agree to indemnify and hold not accountable paseero.ng, its owners, subsidiaries, affiliates, associated companies, licensors and partners, officers, directors, employees, and representatives of each of them from any claim, which include all costs and attorneys’ fees, acquired by you or any third party that is a result of the use of the platform, your activities, your violation of any terms and conditions contained in this document or any applicable law of the locality that you are domiciled.
Refund and Cashout Requests
Refund Request
Paseero allows buyers to request refunds for online orders under certain conditions. Note that Paseero will first fairly investigate the complaint, and then reach a decision to approve or reject the refund request. Note that this make take a few days, depending on the responsiveness of both the buyer and seller in the resolution. We strive to resolve received complaints within 2-5 working days.
Cashout Request
Purchased Paseero credits can be converted to cash using Paseero's cashout system. To do this, you can request cashouts at any time from your account. While we work hard to instantaneously service your cashout requests, we cannot guarantee the successfully processing of cashout requests for payments made to Paseero in less than 1 work day. As such, please allow for a period of at least 1 work day before requesting cashout for any payment made to Paseero.
